1. Information we collect
We collect the details you provide when creating a profile or posting a job — name, email, mobile number, city, skills, work history and company details. We also collect usage data such as pages viewed and jobs applied to, so we can improve matching.
2. How we use your information
Your information is used to match you with relevant gigs or candidates, verify employers, send job alerts over email and WhatsApp where you have opted in, and prevent fraudulent listings. We never sell personal data.
3. Sharing with employers
When you apply to a job, the employer receives your profile, resume and any answers you submitted. Employers may not use that information for anything other than evaluating your application.
4. WhatsApp and notifications
Job alerts over WhatsApp, email or push notifications are opt-in and can be switched off at any time from your notification settings without affecting your account.
5. Data retention
Profiles remain active until you delete them. Deleted accounts are removed from search within 24 hours and purged from backups within 90 days, except where retention is required by Indian law.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Write to privacy@indiangigworks.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is limited to authorised personnel and logged.
